This pair were competing at the Royal Windsor Horse Show in May 2016 where I had a trade stand and took the opportunity to spectate ate the Side Saddle competition. It was a gloriously sunny day and I took numerous photographs as references, this being one of my favourites. I then imagined a scene that would suit the composition and painted it and this is the result.
