This horse and rider were competing in a dressage competition at the Side Saddle Show, Addington Manor in August 2015. I was taking photographs and loved the overall appearance of movement and lightness, the horse appeared to float over the round. I wanted to capture this feeling and to put them into a natural setting, rather than an arena, and so chose this woodland scene.

I’m delighted with the results and an looking forward to displaying it at shows this year.
